The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will work with business stakeholders and our Information Services team to create, modify, and troubleshoot reports using Microsoft Power BI through an integrated data warehouse.  This position will additionally be responsible for data migration initiatives as we integrate various systems with our ERP.  This position requires excellent communication and problem solving skills with three to five years of business intelligence development experience, particularly with Microsoft tools.



  • Full understanding of the data architecture behind our current ERP system in MS SQL Server environment
  • Meet with business stakeholders to clarify and document reporting requirements
  • Modify existing canned reports within ERP and BI environments.
  • Design, develop and deploy new reports, analytical solutions and data visualizations
  • Debug, monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions
  • Analyze ERP/CRM systems to identify data gaps and work with ERP vendor to integrate operational/financial data into enterprise data warehouse
  • Design and develop data migration scripts and procedures
  • Maintain technical and user documentation related to all projects



  • Experience with table data models and complex joins
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • 5 years of BI & Analytics development experience (with a primary focus on Microsoft)
  • 3 years of Microsoft Power BI experience (Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View and Power BI)
  • 3 years of SQL scripting experience and an in-depth understanding of database design
  • 3 years of data migration experience
  • Strong accounting and finance knowledge
  • Independent problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to multi-task and apply initiative and creativity on challenging projects
  • Ability to effectively present information and communicate findings, conclusions and recommendations to business stake holders.
  • Ability to respond effectively to questions from business stake holders
  • Ability to determine appropriate escalation path
  • Solid experience with requirements gathering
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Language skills: High - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical skills: High - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning ability: High - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 


  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will talk/hear; Frequently will sit; Occasionally will stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms
  • Lift and/or Move Functions: Occasionally will lift up to 10 pounds
  • Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles
