    We have an exciting opportunity in Alta Power Systems; you can develop and work into our industry leading engine technology, Volvo Penta … Generators, Heaters, Compressors. You would report directly to the segment manager and assist the generator service sales representative (GSSR) in performing direct coordination activities in support of operational metrics and key performance indicators of this segment.


    The roles and responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

    • Be courteous and professional while determining the needs of the caller and directing them to the proper person and/or department. EGSA training available to candidate. Additional training as required by the Segment Manager.
    • Gather required rental & work order information to include but not limited to, Customer information such as company name, contact name, address, and phone number. Required product and generator /unit information.
    • Handle requested repair, complaint, and/or failure. Gather details such as operating conditions at the time the complaint/failure occurred. Create an accurate job plan using Standard Repair Time (SRT) procedures.
    • Assist with scheduling of work for in-shop and mobile repairs.
    • Collect payment from COD customer’s parts and service.
    • Perform Job Safety Analysis (on power equipment) audits
    • Assist in maintaining clean and organized and safe branch (a high concern for this equipment)
    • Make sure Power systems accessories /stock cables / distribution  parts are in proper working order.
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with dealers, customers, management, and co-workers.
    • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start time

    The Power Service Coordinator has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within all branch operations. The person in this role is responsible for supporting and assisting customers within the Power Systems Group.

    Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.


    Respond to all internal and external customer requests courteously and professionally, in a timely and responsive manner.



    • Strong background with power systems units
    • Be available to answer calls at all times of the day
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have valid chauffeur’s license, clean driving record and automobile insurance
    • Computer programs: Word processing, spreadsheet, accounting and equipment manufacturing technical software
    • Language skills: Intermediate - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    • Mathematical skills: Intermediate - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
    • Reasoning ability: High - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will sit; Frequently will stand, walk, climb or balance; Occasionally will use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, taste/smell.
    • Vision: No special vision requirements.
    • Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 25 pounds; Frequently will lift 26 to 50 pounds, Ocassionally will lift 50+ pounds
    • Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts; Frequently will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work in high precarious places ; Occasionally will work in outdoor weather conditions, around toxic or caustic chemicals
