Responsibilities

Our Material Handling Group is seeking a full-time Warranty and Fleet Administrator for our East Syracuse, NY branch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

 

  • Monitor work in process (WIP) – workload consists of regional service locations
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Fleet agreements and Warranty statements/procedures
  • Understanding quote thresholds and ability to submit quotes through fleet
  • Monitoring and closing warranty and fleet work orders
  • Follow up with other inter-company departments on open issues
  • Enter warranty and fleet claims into vendors systems
  • Monitor warranty and fleet claim status in HYG and Allied Portals
  • Monitor warranty and fleet claim status in eXtend
  • Reconcile warranty and fleet payments – following up with branch locations on losses/variances as needed
  • Monitoring and submitting Fleet Rental Invoices
  • Maintain accurate warranty information per unit in eXtend
  • Properly tag, maintain, and purge warranty parts that are held for possible return to factory per warranty policy
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintain consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time
  • Maintain required level of productivity with goals to be determined and reviewed individually and as a team
  • Contribute to the efforts of maintaining a cross trained team environment to accomplish the overall goal
  • Continuous training in systems, related equipment, software and manufacturer programs related to fleet and warranty
  • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous customer billing and customer service experience is highly preferred, previous warranty related experience a plus
  • Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new systems, programs and software
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving – ability to work independently to manage workload
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of coworkers, as well as customers
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk,climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
  • Vision: No special vision requirements.
  • Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes or airborne particles
