Our Material Handling group is seeking a full-time Combi-lift Specialist supporting the Chicagoland area.  The responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:


  • This role will have full responsibility for continuing the development of our Combi Lift presence in the Chicago market. This role will play a key part in the evolvement of the Chicago team and will be an important member of a team that is seeking to grow exponentially.
  • This role will be complex, challenging and stimulating. It will require an individual who is passionate and committed to the sales process and who enjoys being part of an expanding organization.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the Combilift segment that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.
  • Assists Alta Material Handling Account Managers with proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Coordinate with all departments sales strategies that exceed customers’ expectations
  • Offer customized financing packages to meet each customer’s unique requirements
  • Incorporates Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Have approximately five years relevant experience in top class sales achievement.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, clean driving record and automobile insurance
  • Demonstrate exemplary levels of commitment and resilience and provide example and encouragement to other team members
  • Problem solve and generate practical and sensible solutions with your colleagues to generate better outcomes for our customers
  • Deliver to pressurized deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to train and educate our customer and sales department
  • Have a solution sales or consultative selling background with a customer first approach.
  • Computer programs - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Be able to interpret data and draw credible and insightful recommendations about future market or sectoral behavior. Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to influence, manage and communicate a wide variety of specialists, sales staff, and end users.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will sit; Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms,, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell
  • Vision: No special vision requirements
  • Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift 26 to 50 pounds
  • Work Environment: Occasionally will work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
