Job Summary:

The primary function and purpose of the Customer Service Specialist is to procure, purchase, track and communicate status of materials relating to various projects to the project management team.

Primary Duties:

  • Procure and purchase components and materials to support manufacturing.
  • Order tracking with communication of status to the internal team.
  • Basic office duties to include, filing, purchasing of office supplies, general office organizational activities.

To be successful, the Specialist must demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Have exceptional analytical skills.
  • Be an excellent, effective communicator in both oral and written requirements.
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, together with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow-through to closure.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • The ability to build and maintain critical relationships with vendors.
  • Must meet the client’s expectations and those of the teammates.
  • Must learn product usage, terminology, risk of application or operation, with an understanding that continuous learning about products and how they evolve is critical to the on-going contribution to the business.
  • Manage the process to ensure effective communication, both internally and externally, with a commitment to meeting Ask / Promise expectations.
  • Must effectively and accurately enter, track, and communicate vendor orders and status.
  • Learn and Work within internal software tools for quote, order, and project management.
  • Service internal customers, including Project Management team, Electrical Controls team, Manufacturing team.
  • Learn in house Warehouse Management System.


  • College Degree preferred.
  • Three to five year’s work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn and make good decisions.
  • Great communication and organizational skills.
